License to Sell puppies?

My friend gav me 3 puppies so I could keep or sell for myself. I put then on sale on craigslist and some guy emailed me tellin me I need a lisence to breed. But I don't breed this a one time thing. I dont even hav dogs. Do I need a lisence to sell 3 puppies? I live in Miami dade florida. I am tryna find them a home. Nothin i free in this country. And in the shelter they kill animals so I rather have them alive then in a cage dead. Answer the question ( do I need a liscence to sell 3 puppies) (I am not a breeder) I am takin care of them so stupid comments. That's wy it's called yahoo answers not yahoo comments.
