You could ask a criminal lawyer if there is basis for a retrial but by the time the case is retried, she would have done the 4 months, but if there is grounds for a retrial she could be found not guilty and have her record expunged, but since she was already convicted and sentenced, she will have to to the time or perhaps get some time cut off for good behavior in prison.
